Author Appreciation Week: Julia Hoban

This week is Author Appreciation Week, hosted by the lovely Heidi R Kling, and it's a week to celebrate and appreciate our favorite authors! You can read more about it here!

I have been neglecting posting my authors I'm appreciating all week, due to tons of homework, BUT I'm finally starting, and my first author I'm appreciating is Julia Hoban. She wrote the book Willow.

Willow is that fantastically awesome book about a girl going through hard times and cuts herself. It's the story of healing and it just fantastic! First, Willow has this amazing plot. Then you have this swoon-worthy guy, Guy. (ha!). Then you have amazing writing with tons more amazing characters, basically totally to this amazing book. Oh, and also Willow is in present tense AND third person, which sets it apart from other books, and makes it just even that much more amazing.

I was lucky enough to go to Julia's signing last September, and she was one of sweetest, nicest people ever! Hearing her talk about Willow, made it that much greater of a book. If you haven't read Willow, make sure to do so!
