Here's a bit about Tyger, Tyger if you hadn't already heard.

Teagan Wylltson's best friend, Abby, dreams that horrifying creatures--goblins, shape-shifters, and beings of unearthly beauty but terrible cruelty--are hunting Teagan. I *love* Mrs Mike by Benedict and Nancy Freedman!! There are some books that I can read again and again, and that is one (even though I cry every time). I think I've read it 5 times. :)

I have the Anansi Boys by Gaiman in my TBR mountain pile but it's deep at the bottom because it has black and unattractive cover. By your recommendation, I might have to pull that copy to the top... :)

Cherry -- listen to the cd version. Gaiman actually wrote it to be read aloud by the man who does the voices, and it is WONDERFUL!

Megwi-- I have read Mrs. Mike serveral times as well, even though it is so sad. I love the pie scene!
