In My Mailbox (15)

In My Mailbox was started by Kristi over at The Story Siren! In My Mailbox is a way to share the books you received each week.

This week I got:

WTF - Peter Lerangis
Two parties, six alternating points of view, and three letters that says it all--WTF!

Never After - Dan Elconin
There is no place like a dysfunctional home.

Leaving everything behind for the Island was Ricky's dream come true. When his happily ever after is not quite what it seems, he discovers that running away means running toward bigger problems.

Trapped on the Island, Ricky must join together with the only people he can trust to help him face his fears and return home. But the only way off the Island is to confront the person who trapped Ricky and his friends in the first place. With countless enemies and true peril staring them down, Ricky's mission to leave this so-called paradise will become a battle for their very lives.

Possessed - Kate Cann
Rayne can't wait to start her summer job at a remote country mansion, far from the crowded, noisy London she so desperately wants to escape. But the retreat soon turns into a nightmare -- the mansion is creepy, the legends of ghosts keep Rayne up at night, and she doesn't feel safe anywhere.

Can Rayne figure out why she's so freaked -- before she becomes a ghost story herself?

Wolves of the Beyond: Lone Wolf by Kathryn Lasky
A wolf mother has given birth, but the warm bundle snuffling next to her brings only anguish. The pup, otherwise healthy, has a twisted leg, and the mother knows what the harsh code of the pack demands. Her pup will be taken from her and abandoned on a desolate hill. The pack cannot have weakness - the wolf mother knows that her pup is condemned to die.

But alone in the wilderness, the pup, Seeker, does not perish. This his story - a story of survival, of courage, and of love triumphant. This is Seeker's story, the wolf pup who rose up to change forevever the Wolves of the Beyond.

Raiders' Ransom - Emily Diamand
It's the 22nd century and, because of climate change, much of England is underwater. Poor Lilly is out fishing with her trusty sea-cat when greedy raiders pillage the town--and kidnap the prime minister's daughter. Her village blamed, Lilly decides to find the girl. Off she sails, in secret. And with a ransom: a mysterious talking jewel. "If I save his daughter," Lilly reasons, "the prime minister's sure to reward me." Little does Lilly know that it will take more than grit to outwit the tricky, treacherous piratical tribes!

Your Novel Proposal by Blythe Camenson and Marshall J. Cook (From the Teen Author Challenge contest over at the lovely Kay Cassidy's blog

Crazy Beautiful - Lauren Baratz-Logsted
In an explosion of his own making, Lucius blew his arms off. Now he has hooks. He chose hooks because they were cheaper. He chose hooks because he wouldn’t outgrow them so quickly. He chose hooks so that everyone would know he was different, so he would scare even himself.

Then he meets Aurora. The hooks don’t scare her. They don’t keep her away. In fact, they don’t make any difference at all to her.

But to Lucius, they mean everything. They remind him of the beast he is inside. Perhaps Aurora is his Beauty, destined to set his soul free from its suffering.

Or maybe she’s just a girl who needs love just like he does.

Triple Fault - Lessica Burkhart
THREE STRIKES, THEY'RE ON THE OUTS...
ONE: Heather pretending to date Jacob, just to mess with Sasha.

TWO: A new girl who is so competitive, she makes Heather look tame.

THREE: A former BFF with a new hobby: stealing boyfriends.

Trade with Kelsey:
Secrets of My Hollywood Life - Jen Calonita
Beauty Shop For Rent - Laura Bowers

Bookmooch:
The Bermudez Triangle - Maureen Johnson
Perfect You - Elizabeth Scott
Something, Maybe - Elizabeth Scott
You Are So Undead To Me - Stacey Jay
How To Build a House - Dana Reinhardt
Who Needs Boys? - Stephie Davis
The Host - Stephenie Meyer
I decided to give this one another chance - I had started it and didn't care for it much.

The Library:
Lament - Maggie Stiefvater
Wings - Aprilynne Pike
Realm of Possibility - David Levithan
Love is the Higher Law - David Levithan

What'd you guys get?

I know what you mean about The Host. I started it, but got so confused and never finished it. I intend to pick it up again once my TBR pile slows.
