Love Bus Tour + Contest

You may have heard about the 5 author tour from Harlequin that was happning through Illinois and Wisconsin? Well, one of the stops was close to me, and I got to meet Rachel Vincent and Gena Showalter! It was so awesome. I absolutely adore Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series. I had had My Soul to Take for awhile, and for some crazy reason not read it until book 2, My Soul to Save's release. I had been sick, and I remember right after I finished My Soul to Take I had my mom order me My Soul to Save so I could read more of the story! I still haven't read anything by Gena Showalter, but Intertwined looks absolutely amazing.

I got my books signed, and also picked up My Soul to Keep which I cannot wait to read. I have a dire need of more Nash and more awesome story. Rachel Vincent also gave me A SOUL SCREAMERS SHIRT. I had to stop myself from happy dancing right there in the middle of KMart, because I've seen other people with those shirts, and thought they were just about the coolest thing ever. While I was there, I picked up an extra lovely signed copy of My Soul to Keep. PLUS Rachel Vincent was really awesome and gave me an extra shirt to give away.

SO...

1 winner will get a SIGNED paperback of My Soul to Keep and a Soul Screamers Shirt.

Well sadly this is going to sound totally obvious- But before you hate me...READ!
Vampires-and its not the recent buzz just that there was a time (before twilight) when this made me even more unique and crazy-i don't like sparkling vampires -.- sparkling in the sun is actually a characteristic of faries- but anyway vampires. I've been reading about them since i was about 5-6 and if i had to pick only one from the mythical and supernatural world it would be them...though i totally LOVE banchees and sirens and mermaids and faires are my second to vamps....shutting up now!!

To be honest, I DO love reading most vampire books. I also tend to enjoy zombie books a lot, and then magical beings such as the workers in Holly Black's White Cat.

Most paranormal books out today are about vampires, werewolves or witches. While my choice is in the shifter family, its not a wolf. I prefer werelopards. I blame Laurell Hamilton for that. I think they are sexy and sleek, and they can stalk you from the ground or from the trees. It would be nice to read about something other than the big 'it' in Hollywood.

I love all the creatures in the Need Series, Shiver/Linger, and especially the Strange Angels Series. I love that Dru's only half human, just realizing it, and Graves is a loup-garou. You also encounter vampyres, werewolves, and zombies. There's tons of creatures in the series and it's cool to learn about them along with the characters in the books.

I love reading about mermaids! I used to love fallen angels, but now thats like saying I love reading about vampires, it's not as much of a treat to read about.

I enjoy reading about VAMPIRES! My 14yr old daughter was reading(what else?) Twilight sagas, and finally got me to read them too. Well I was hooked on "V" after that. I still can't get enough vampire books. But I have also ventured out to Weres as well.
