Author Halloween Love - Laura Preble & Hilary Wagner



Today, as a part of a Book Spooks feature, Author Halloween Love, I am excited to have Laura Preble and Hilary Wagner at The Book Cellar! Laura Preble is the author of The Queen Geek Social Club, Queen Geeks in Love, Prom Queen Geeks, and Lica's Angel. Hilary Wagner is the author of the newly released MG fantasy, Nightshade City.

Laura's quote:
For most of the year, geeks dress up in Vulcan ears, furry tails, Renaissance fair costumes, vampire gear, or odd goth makeup. Halloween is the great equalizer. It’s the one day of the year when geeks can blend in with everyone else. But that usually makes them unhappy. I personally love busting out my fake Klingon head and wearing it when I teach English at my high school.


Hilary's quote:
I love gray days and cold October nights. I love leaves gathering at my feet and crisp wind on my face. I love creepy black bats, rats and goulish fanged Jack-O-lantern grins. I love Halloween.

I agree. Both the quotes are fabulous, and I can really relate to a love of gray days and cold nights. Good thing, too, considering I live in Wisconsin . . . ;-)
