Interview with Suzanne Young

Hopefully you guys have seen The Naughty List posts all week over at Khy's blog, The Frenetic Reader, and now we're kicking off the rest of The Naughty List week here at The Book Cellar! To continue the Naughty List week, Susane Young herself if here to answer a few questions!

How do you think you would be as a member of SOS? If you were a member of SOS, what role do you think you would play? Would you be a techie like Leona or like Tessa and carrying out the missions?

I think I’d be an excellent spy. I’ve been known to figure things out—especially in the relationship way of thinking. I’m also pretty good at detecting liars. I’d probably be more like Kira. Not planning, and not a techie. I’d be the worker bee.

Are strawberry smoothies your favorite, as Tessa always loves everything to go strawberry smoothie?

A strawberry smoothie with whipped cream is always a good thing. I also enjoy banana smotthies. Lol

How good are you at taking praise? Because I'm fairly certain you'll be getting loads of it as soon as The Naughty List hits stores.

Wow, that’s really sweet of you to say. If I can be honest, I’m terrified for the book to come out. I’m not great with taking compliments—like I’m always waiting for the “but…” part of the sentence. I try not to stalk goodreads.

I hear you used to be a middle school teacher, what was your favorite part about that?

I loved chatting with the students. I loved teaching, and I loved teaching writing. I got my students excited about books. I hope I can still do that as a writer.

Which character from The Naughty List would you want to hang out with for the day?

You mean besides Aiden? Haha. I think I’d like a day with Tessa. I have a feeling I’d come home feeling very shiny and special.
