Book Trailers: The Way We Fall and Harbinger

Two books I've very excited about have had trailer reveals in the past few days!

First up is The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe, which comes out January 24! I adored Megan's first book, Give Up the Ghost, so I'm excited to read more from her. Also, there's a chance to win a copy of the book here. The trailer is online here.

Here's a bit about the book:

It starts with an itch you just can't shake. Then comes a fever and a tickle in your throat. A few days later, you'll be blabbing your secrets and chatting with strangers like they’re old friends. Three more, and the paranoid hallucinations kick in.

And then you're dead.

When a deadly virus begins to sweep through sixteen-year-old Kaelyn’s community, the government quarantines her island—no one can leave, and no one can come back.

Those still healthy must fight for dwindling supplies, or lose all chance of survival. As everything familiar comes crashing down, Kaelyn joins forces with a former rival and discovers a new love in the midst of heartbreak. When the virus starts to rob her of friends and family, she clings to the belief that there must be a way to save the people she holds dearest.

Because how will she go on if there isn't?

The other is Harbinger Sara Wilson Etienne, which comes out February 2, 2012. This is a debut and has just a gorgeous cover! It sounds so intriguing. See the trailer online here.

Here's a bit about the book:

Set in a world in which a diminishing oil supply has lead to chaos and mass rioting, sixteen year old Faye is plagued by waking visions and nightmares. Her parents think the only solution is to send her to Holbrook Academy, the creepy prison-like school for disturbed teenagers. When she and her friends wake up on the floor with their hands stained red, Faye has no idea what it means, but fears she may be the cause. But despite the strangeness of Holbrook and the island on which it sits, Faye feels oddly connected to the place. The handsome Kel tries to help her unravel the mystery, but Faye is certain he is trying to kill her –and the rest of the world too.

So what do you guys think?

Trylle Series Trailer

The first book in Amanda Hocking's Trylle series, Switched, is coming out January 3rd, and it has a snazzy trailer that I wanted to share with y'all! There are also stills from the trailer here and you can find Amanda Hocking on Facebook here.

Here's a bit about the first book,
SWITCHED… at birth:
When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her home.

Now Wendy’s about to journey to a magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and frightening. And where she must leave her old life behind to discover who she’s meant to become…

The Trylle series will continue with Torn, which will be released 2.28.12, and will conclude on 4.24.12 with Ascend.

I have to say I'm quite intrigued and the trailer is nice.

Dreamland: Trailer + Giveaway

Dreamland by Alyson Noel

Riley's finding that the afterlife can be a lonely place when all you do is focus on work. So she goes to the place where dreams happen, hoping to find a way to contact her sister, Ever. She meets the director, who tells her about the two ways to send dreams. As a Dream Jumper, a person can jump into a dreamer's dream, share a message, and participate. As a Dreamweaver, an entire dream can be created in a studio and sent to the dreamer. But Dreamweaving was outlawed decades ago, and the studio was boarded up. Thinking it's her only way to reach out to her sister, Riley goes in search of the old studio. There she finds a ghost boy, who's been creating and sending nightmares to people for years. In order to stop him and reach out to Ever, Riley is going to have to confront and overcome her own fears.

Alyson Noël continues the bestselling story of Riley Bloom as she learns how dreams are made and tries to make contact with her sister, Ever.

I just love these books covers, they are so pretty. Anyways, but Book 3 in the Riley Bloom series is out now, and while I haven't read this series yet, it's one I'm really looking forward to! I am super excited to share the trailer with you guys!

Now, Macmillan has a page for Alyson Noel here, which has all sorts of fun stuff like other trailers and such, so you should check it out! And don't forget to become a Facebook fan of Alyson Noel here!

Now, I have one copy of Dreamland for one lucky winner! This will be open until September 25 and open to US/Canada only! I am offering an extra entry in this one, which I don't do very often, so be sure to take advantage of that :)

The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making: Giveaway + Trailer

The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente

Twelve-year-old September lives in Omaha, and used to have an ordinary life, until her father went to war and her mother went to work. One day, September is met at her kitchen window by a Green Wind (taking the form of a gentleman in a green jacket), who invites her on an adventure, implying that her help is needed in Fairyland. The new Marquess is unpredictable and fickle, and also not much older than September. Only September can retrieve a talisman the Marquess wants from the enchanted woods, and if she doesn?t . . . then the Marquess will make life impossible for the inhabitants of Fairyland. September is already making new friends, including a book-loving Wyvern and a mysterious boy named Saturday.

With exquisite illustrations by acclaimed artist Ana Juan, Fairyland lives up to the sensation it created when the author first posted it online. For readers of all ages who love the charm of Alice in Wonderland and the soul of The Golden Compass, here is a reading experience unto itself: unforgettable, and so very beautiful.

Doesn't that sound awesome? Now here is the trailer:

Or you can click here to watch the trailer on Youtube. I love the trailer, the music is super fun!  You can visit Catherynne on her website or blog.  Macmillan also has a page for the book, with tons more stuff like a preview of the book if you are interested. :)

Now, I have one copy to give away to one lucky person. It's going to be a quick giveaway, open only until June 30, and US/Canada only. Fill out the form to enter. It's not required or going to give you extra entries, but linking up the trailer or the giveaway would be super lovely.
